Hitotsubashi University Business School, School of International Corporate Strategy (Hitotsubashi ICS) welcomed undergraduate students from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School on May 15, 2026, as part of the Bizad Abroad 2026 program organized by the NUS Bizad Club Academia Committee.
Bizad Abroad is an annual student-led international study program designed to provide business students with global exposure through company visits, academic exchange, and cross-cultural learning opportunities. The 2026 study program, held under the theme “Dynamism,” explored how organizations adapt to a rapidly changing global environment while remaining committed to their core values and social purpose.
NUS undergraduate students visited Japan between May 11 and May 18, 2026, to engage with leading organizations and institutions across the country. Hitotsubashi ICS hosted the NUS students as one of the academic partners, recognized for its international outlook, focus on innovation and knowledge creation, and commitment to developing globally minded leaders.
The visit to Hitotsubashi ICS began with a school introduction session, followed by a lecture by Prof. Jinju Lee on Japanese Innovation and Knowledge Creation. The session introduced students to key concepts behind Japanese approaches to management, organizational learning, and innovation, while also highlighting the role of Japanese companies in the global business landscape.
The program concluded with an interactive Q&A session with Hitotsubashi ICS alumni. During the discussion, Hitotsubashi ICS alumni shared their experiences studying and living in Japan, their motivations for pursuing an MBA at Hitotsubashi ICS, and insights into their professional and personal journeys after graduation. The exchange created an open and engaging environment for NUS students to learn more about international education and career development opportunities in Japan.
The event provided a valuable platform for cross-cultural dialogue and academic exchange between two of Asia’s leading business schools. Through initiatives such as Bizad Abroad, participants gain first-hand exposure to global business practices, diverse leadership perspectives, and international collaboration.
Hitotsubashi ICS sincerely appreciated the visit from the NUS delegation and looked forward to continued collaboration and future exchange opportunities with NUS Business School.
