This June, we are running the ICS Alumni Donation Drive, a one-month initiative inviting students, alumni, faculty, and the Schools friends and family to come together, and make a collective impact on ICS' Future.

In this blog, post, we want to share Sylvia's story, an MBA alumnus from the Class of 2021 and also one of the ICS Alumni Donation Drive Ambassadors.

Q. How has ICS shaped you as a person?

ICS students have diverse backgrounds. Studying and cooperating with people who are very different from myself opened my mind to more possibilities.

Q. What is the best memory from your time at ICS?

I have to say that the Strategy course instructed by Professor Emi Osono is the best memory I have so far. Emi-sensei is an outstanding female leader who taught us the importance of creating shared value in business. I'm greatly influenced and inspired by her.

Q. Who is your Zemi adviser? Any anecdotes you want to share with us about your Zemi?

My Zemi advisor is Professor Masazumi Hattori. Masa sensei is very warm-hearted and keen on helping students succeed. I can say that all students love him very much. A small anecdote is that Masa-sensei carefully wrote down the Zodiac signs of his Zemi students because I talked about Zodiac signs a lot. Masa-sensei is so great.

Q. What motivated you to become an ICS Alumni Donation Drive Ambassador?

I really want to express my appreciation to ICS. At this moment, I don't know what my future will be, but I'm very sure that studying at ICS is an important pivot point in my life.

Q.Any fun facts you would like to share with us?

Professor Shingo Oue is a great singer and he is best known for singing "let it go". :D
